1. A letterform design is a model which uses letters to relay or communicate an idea by using the letters in such a way that one can see the designer’s purpose of the letter or word. By using fonts, style, color, and placement of the letters, among other ways, the designer shows his or her understanding of the task assigned to him or her, by making an appealing piece of art on the computer.

2. My job as the designer was to show my understanding of the requirements given to me to create nine pieces which represented my thought process as the designer of my artwork.

3. Some of the challenges I faced during this project were things such as the repetitiveness of the overall assignment. Using the same letters and the same three fonts, along with the same three colors led the task to be a little bit tedious, and I had to prevent the repetitiveness from showing piece to piece in my work. Additionally, making my project stand out against others was difficult. It was hard at first to come up with original designs which showed my creativity as a designer, since, initially, most people wound up with the same or very similar idea. Lastly, the final difficulty I feel as though I faced was the time restraints of the project. I only have one off period, my lunch period, so it was difficult to make time to work on the project outside of class, especially since there were so many holidays while we were working on this project.

4. I feel as though I successfully completed this project, because of my ability to put out work that I am proud of. I feel as though when I did have time to work on this project, I put in a lot of time and effort into the assignment. I read the requirements and tailored each of my nine pieces accordingly, working through the struggles that I faced, as mentioned earlier.

5. One thing I would change about this project is the due date. I would change this because it would give me more time to perfect my nine pieces and go over the requirements again to make sure that I did not miss any of the rules.
